888 Functional Monkeys ("888 Functional Monkeys", "we", "us", or "our") builds and publishes mobile applications and cloud/SaaS platforms (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our websites, mobile apps, and cloud/SaaS products that link to this policy.
Our products do not all collect the same data. 888 Functional Monkeys offers a range of mobile apps and cloud/SaaS platforms, and each one collects only the data needed for its own features and purposes. This master policy describes the maximum categories of data we may collect across our portfolio; the data actually collected depends on which product you use, the features you enable, the permissions you grant, and the platform (web, iOS, or Android). Where a specific product collects more, less, or different data than described here—or processes it for additional purposes—a product-specific privacy notice is made available within that product (for example, in its app store listing, settings screen, or onboarding flow) and prevails over this policy to the extent of any conflict. Collecting different data per product is consistent with the data-minimisation and purpose-limitation principles of the GDPR/UK GDPR and applicable data-protection laws, provided each product's collection is disclosed and limited to what that product needs.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
For data we process about you, 888 Functional Monkeys acts as the data controller. When we process data on behalf of a business customer using our cloud/SaaS platforms, we act as a data processor and process that data under our agreement with that customer (see Section 9).

2. Information we collect
The categories below list everything we may collect across our products. Any individual app or platform collects only the subset relevant to it—see Section 2.4 and the applicable product-specific notice for what a given product actually collects.
2.1 Information you provide
- Account data — name, email, username, password (hashed), and profile details.
- Billing data — billing name, address, and payment details (processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers).
- Content — data, files, and inputs you submit to our apps and platforms.
- Support data — messages, feedback, and correspondence you send us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & app data — device model, OS version, app version, language, and unique device/app identifiers.
- Usage data — features used, actions taken, session duration, and crash/diagnostic logs.
- Network data — IP address, approximate (coarse) location derived from IP, and general connection info.
- Cookies & SDKs — see Section 7.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers (e.g., Google, Apple) when you choose to authenticate with them.
- Payment and fraud-prevention providers.
- Analytics and attribution providers.
2.4 Data collection varies by product
Not every category above applies to every product. What we collect from you depends on the specific app or platform, its features, and the permissions and consents you give. As illustrative examples:
- A standalone mobile app may collect only device/app data, crash logs, and the content you create locally—without an account or billing data—if it has no sign-in or paid features.
- A free, ad-supported app may additionally use advertising/analytics SDKs and identifiers, subject to your consent (e.g., iOS App Tracking Transparency, Android ad-ID controls).
- A cloud/SaaS platform typically collects account, billing, usage, and the content you upload, and may process data on behalf of your organization (see Section 9).
The authoritative list of data collected, the purposes, and any third-party SDKs for each product is set out in that product's own privacy notice and (for mobile apps) in its app store "data safety" / "privacy nutrition label" disclosures. Where this master policy and a product-specific notice differ, the product-specific notice governs for that product.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Improve, debug, and develop new features (including analytics and crash reporting).
- Send service, security, and transactional communications.
- Send marketing communications where permitted (you can opt out anytime).
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the Services, accounts, billing | Performance of a contract |
| Security, fraud prevention, product improvement | Legitimate interests |
| Marketing, optional cookies/SDKs | Consent |
| Legal & regulatory compliance | Legal obligation |
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers / sub-processors — cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, customer support, and email delivery, acting on our instructions.
- Business customers — where you use our SaaS through an organization, with that organization (the controller of that data).
- Legal & safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Corporate transactions — in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy.
6. International data transfers
We may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or other restricted regions, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
7. Cookies, SDKs & analytics
Our websites use cookies and our mobile apps use software development kits (SDKs) for authentication, preferences, analytics, and crash reporting. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner where shown, and you can limit ad/analytics tracking through your device's privacy settings (e.g., iOS App Tracking Transparency, Android advertising ID controls).
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including providing the Services, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Retention periods vary by data type and the product you use.
9. Our role for SaaS / business customers
When organizations use our cloud/SaaS platforms, they decide what data to upload and process. For that data we act as a processor, and the organization is the controller. If you are an end user of such a platform and want to exercise your rights, please contact the organization that provided you access; we will assist them as required.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@fun-monkeys.com.
11. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use technical and organizational measures—such as encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed credentials—to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Third-party links
Our Services may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by email.
